Helping Animals in Crisis

The best, most effective response to a disaster begins at the local level.  We can help families and communities develop plans to ensure the safety of the animals who share our lives.

You can assist CVDART by:

  • Donating needed supplies such as dog and cat food, sawdust, kitty litter, medical supplies, etc.
  • Volunteering with our CVDART team!
  • Contact: cvdart2017@gmail.com or (802-505-7677)
  • Sharing your expertise with our volunteers
  • Giving a tax-deductible donation:

Donations to CVDART can be made online at www.vermontdart.org/donate or can be mailed to the address below.  When donating online please select “Write a note” on the Paypal donation page and type in CVDART. When mailing checks, write CVDART in the note section of your check.

It's Giving Tuesday!
You can help us make a real difference for animals, and the families who love them, by making a donation to VDART’s Anne Ackley Memorial Animal Support Fund on or before Giving Tuesday, which takes place on December 1st. Our goal is to raise $2,000 as a match to the same amount donated by The Humane Society of the United States to this cause. Go to VermontDART.org to donate and learn more.

Mission

The Vermont Disaster Animal Response Team (VDART) was established in 2007 in order to strengthen and support the state’s capacity to respond to animal needs in the event of a disaster.
